Dougall And Reed Named Athletes Of The Week

Senior goalkeeper Laura Dougall posted a strong weekend between the pipes for the Bulls as UB went 1-0-1 on the road. On Friday afternoon, Dougall played well as she made six saves while allowing just one goal in the Bulls 2-1 victory. Dougall had one of her strongest performances of the season on Sunday at Central Michigan as she made key saves in the 0-0 road draw. Dougall came up huge with nine stops en route to her fourth clean sheet of the season. Dougall has now notched 36 career victories and 31 career clean sheets during her UB career, both program records. On the year, Dougall owns a 4-5-2 record with a 1.12 goals-against average, .822 save percentage and four clean sheets.

             

Emmanuel Reed rushed for a career-high 144 yards and three touchdowns in Buffalo’s 27-13 win at Kent State. Reed scored all of his touchdowns in the first half to pace the Bulls’ offensive attack. On Buffalo’s second drive of the game he ripped off a career-long 55-yard run. He scored on an 18-yard run on the very next play. Reed also scored on touchdown runs of one and five yards. He became the first UB player since 2014 to score three rushing touchdowns in a game.
