Rashidi Greene is the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Services, and began working in the UB Athletics Office of Academic Services in September, 2005 as an Academic Advisor. In his current role at UB, Rashidi directs and supervises all aspects of academic support for the UB Athletics Department.
A Ronald McNair Scholar, Rashidi graduated from the University at Buffalo with an undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1999 and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from UB’s Graduate School of Education in 2001. As a former track and field and football student-athlete at UB, Rashidi was a four-year letter winner and 2-year team captain in track and field. He has been recognized as first team Academic All-MAC, a UB Scholar-Athlete, and as a UB Athlete of the Week all for track and field. He is also a former school record-holder in the hammer throw and 35lb. weight throw.
Prior to joining the University at Buffalo as a professional, Rashidi worked as an Educational Opportunity Program Counselor at Buffalo State College from 2003 to 2005. He was also an Assistant Track and Field Coach there during the Spring 2005 season. Rashidi has served as a National Football Foundation Play-It-Smart Academic Coach and as in intern for the UB Athletics Office of Compliance from 2002-2003.
Originally from Webster, NY, Rashidi attended the Aquinas Institute of Rochester and was a varsity football and track and field student-athlete. He and his wife, Renee, have a son, Rashidi, Jr. and a daughter, Pearl.
