Membership

A wide variety of programs are offered for our for Students, Faculty, Staff and Alumni as well as the general community. Register for classes in person at Member Services at 175 Alumni Arena or 113 Clark Hall during our hours of operation.

Persons entering Alumni Arena or Clark Hall during established recreation hours, must present proper ID. Children 13 & Under must be accompanied by a parent.


Alumni & Community Members: Alumni and community members must purchase a UB Recreation Permit.

 

Current UB Faculty/Staff: The Division of Athletics makes available all recreation facilities to current faculty/staff of the University with the exception of the Alumni Arena general fitness center.  Current UB ID must be presented to gain access into Alumni Arena during the following hours: Mondays - Fridays 6:00AM - 8:30AM and 12:00PM - 1:30PM and the following hours at Clark Hall: Mondays - Fridays 7:00AM - 8:30AM and 11:00AM - 2:00PM. Any current UB faculty/staff that would like to use the facilities outside the complimentary hours granted by the Division of Athletics needs to purchase a recreation permit.

 

Indoor Jogging Track Permit: Persons presenting picture ID may obtain an Indoor Jogging Track Permit at $5.00 per month. This permit is for the indoor jogging track only, it does not include the general fitness center, swimming pool, racquetball courts, and gymnasiums. The person must present appropriate picture identification indicating that they are at least 18 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Permit may be purchased during recreation hours.

All Access Group Permit: Groups interested in using the recreational facilities including the indoor jogging track, general fitness center, pool, racquetball courts, and gymnasiums, may purchase an All Access Group Permit for a discounted rate of $20 per person per month. Groups must have a minimum of 15 persons each month in order to receive the discounted rate. When purchasing the All Access Group Permit, a list of group members must be submitted  and at least 15 of the people on the submitted list must purchase their pass within one week of list submission. If the group is purchasing 2 or more months, at least 15 group members must purchase their memberships within 2 weeks of list submission. Persons must present appropriate picture identification indicating that they are at least 18 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Day Passes:  Persons presenting picture ID may obtain a Day Pass ($7.00 each) at Member Services in Room 175 Alumni Arena. The person must present appropriate picture identification indicating that they are at least 18 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Passes may be purchased during recreation hours. Day Passes will no longer be sold on the weekends for the Main Gym or Practice Facility at Alumni Arena. Clark Hall will sell Guest Day Passes for $7.00 anytime Monday - Thursday and before 12:00pm on Fridays. Guest Day Passes are not available on Saturday or Sunday or Friday after 12:00pm. The guest must have a host (someone who has a current membership). The host is to stay with their guest and is responsible for them. The guest and host must sign the waiver.
