BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo senior linebacker Khalil Hodge was named a fourth-team All-American by Phil Steele, it was announced on Friday. The publication also listed 10 UB football players on its All-Mid-American Conference team.
Hodge was one of only two players from the MAC named to one of the four All-American teams. For the third straight season, the Bulls' inside linebacker led the Bulls in tackles with 144, marking the third straight season he eclipsed 100 tackles. In only three seasons, Hodge amassed 421 tackles to rank third in school history.
Hodge was also one of 10 Buffalo players named to Phil Steele's All-MAC Team. Hodge, along with wide receiver Anthony Johnson, tight end Tyler Mabry and center James O'Hagan were named to the first team. Quarterback Tyree Jackson, running back Jaret Patterson, left tackle Evin Ksiezarczyk, defense end Chuck Harris and cornerback Cameron Lewis were named to the second team. Wide receiver K.J. Osborn was named to the third team.
The Bulls won a school-record 10 games in 2018, including the MAC East Division title.
