BUFFALO, NY – A pair of University at Buffalo football players have been selected to play in SPIRAL Tropical Bowl. Defensive end Chuck Harris and cornerback Cameron Lewis will both play in one of the premier FBS Division I level all-star games scheduled for January 13 in Daytona Beach, FL.
Harris, a two-time All-MAC selection, including a first-team choice this past season, had his finest season as a senior in 2018. A disruptive force off the edge, Harris led the Bulls in sacks with 6.5 to go along with 45 tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss.
Lewis was a second-team All-MAC selection in 2018. One of Buffalo's starting cornerbacks, Lewis tied for the team lead with three interceptions on the season. He also added 32 tackles, six pass breakups and a fumble recovery on the year.
It marks the third year Buffalo will be represented at the Tropical Bowl. Former punter Kyle DeWeen played in the game last season. Former quarterback Joe Licata played in, and was the MVP, of the inaugural 2016 game.
The game will kick off on January 13 at 10 am. A live stream is available by clicking here.
