  • Boys Basketball Camps Set To Begin June 29
    June 12, 2015
    First-year head coach Nate Oats and his staff will be holding a series of Boys Basketball Camps, beginning on June 29 with the first of two full week camps. The second will begin on August 3, followed by an Elite Camp on August 8.
  • Julius Hodge Named Director of Player Development

    Former ACC Player of the Year and First Round NBA Draft Pick Julius Hodge has been named Director of Player Development, head men’s basketball coach Nate Oats announced on Monday morning. Hodge has just completed a 10-year playing career, which included stops with the Denver Nuggets and Milwaukee Bucks before playing overseas.
  • Bulls Add Blake Hamilton For 2015-16

    First-year head coach Nate Oats continued to add to his roster for 2015-16 with the addition of Blake Hamilton, who signed his National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. Hamilton is the second player to join the Bulls on Wednesday, joining Dallas, TX guard CJ Massinburg.

  • Men’s Basketball Selected To Play in Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament

    The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced today the field of teams and brackets for the 2015 Tip-Off Tournament. The annual NCAA men’s exempt tournament sponsored by the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will take place Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT highlighted by eight schools in two four-team brackets with campus round games taking place around the Mohegan Sun Arena schedule.

The Bulls will face number seven seed, Akron, who has won three straight games already in the MAC Tournament, including last night vs. #3 Kent State The winner will advance to Saturday night's MAC Championship Game.

    The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York men’s basketball team fought past a game Akron squad, 68-59, in the semifinals of the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Friday night to advance to Saturday’s championship game. The Bulls will play in the title game for the third time in school history when they tip off against top-seeded Central Michigan at 7:30 pm.

    Junior Justin Moss picked up his most prestigious honor on Wednesday morning as the Detroit, MI native was named the 2015 Mid-American Conference Player Of The Year, the conference office announced from its headquarters in Cleveland. Moss becomes the second straight UB player to be named Player of the Year following Javon McCrea last season.

    For the fourth straight season, the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, men’s basketball team has placed a member on the All-MAC First Team as junior Justin Moss was named to the squad Monday afternoon. In all, three Bulls were honored with postseason All-MAC honors as sophomore Shannon Evans was named to the All-MAC Second Team and Lamonte Bearden was named to All-MAC Freshman Team.

    As a thank you for the amazing turnout by True Blue and the UB students to last Friday’s men’s basketball win over Bowling Green to clinch a share of the Mid-American Conference regular season title, athletic director Danny White and men’s basketball head coach Bobby Hurley are donating a select number of free tickets to the Bulls semifinal MAC Tournament game in Cleveland on Friday night. The first 100 students to check in at the UB ticket table at Quicken Loans Arena on Friday will receive a free ticket to the game, compliments of White and Hurley.
