BUFFALO, NY – Former University at Buffalo men's basketball player David Kadiri has signed his first professional contract, as he will join the Manchester Giants. Kadiri, who played two seasons for the Bulls, left his mark helping UB to an NCAA Tournament, while earning his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology.
Kadiri played in 31 games for the Bulls this past season, starting 19 of them. He averaged 5.7 points per game for the season, bumping that average up to 8.1 points per game during the conference play. His breakout game came again Ball State when he had 23 points on 11-of-13 shooting.
He reached double figures in scoring six times during conference play including back-to-back 14-point games at Ohio and against Bowling Green.
The Manchester Giants were established in 2011 and joined the top-tier British Basketball League in 2012.
Kadiri is the second UB player from this past season to sign a professional contract as Blake Hamilton signed a contract with BK Ventspils over the summer.
