BUFFALO, NY - Another University at Buffalo men's basketball player has signed a professional contract as Willie Conner signed with G.S.L Faros out of Larissa, Greece. The club plays in the top league in Greece, the Greek Basket League.
Conner made quite the mark on the Bulls in the last two seasons as he was named to the All-MAC Defensive Team during his junior season and he was also named the Most Valuable Player of the MAC Tournament, helping the Bulls to a championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2016.
Last year, Conner averaged 13.0 points per game as he shot 40.9% from the field and 37.0% from three-point range. He had 28 points against Coppin State, recording a career-high eight three pointers, one of the best performances in school history.
Conner, who hails from Chicago, IL, came to the Bulls after spending one season at Odessa Community College where he averaged 18.0 points per game.
