Three Nationally Televised Games Highlight Conference Slate

BUFFALO, NY – The Mid-American Conference announced their men's basketball league schedule on Thursday afternoon as the Bulls will have three nationally televised games guaranteed in their 18-game MAC schedule.

Conference play will begin right after the new year as the Bulls will begin at home, hosting Toledo on Tuesday, January 2 in a game that will air across the country on the CBS Sports Network.  A tip time will be announced closer to the game date.

UB will follow with a two-game road swing at Ball State (1/6) and Akron (1/9) before returning home to face Miami (OH) (1/13) and Northern Illinois (1/16).  Buffalo's second nationally televised contest will come on the road on Friday, Jan. 19 when UB heads to Western Michigan for a game that will air on ESPNU at 7pm.  Following a quick trip home to face Eastern Michigan on Jan. 23, the Bulls will be back in the national spotlight on Friday, Jan. 26 when they head to Ohio to face the Bobcats on CBS Sports Network at 6:30 pm.

Buffalo closes out January at Kent State on January 30th before opening February back at home in their second meeting against the Western Michigan Broncos on Feb. 3.  UB follows that up with a two game road trip at Central Michigan (2/6) and Northern Illinois (2/10), closing out play against MAC West opponents.

The final six regular season games will all be against the MAC East, including a stretch of four out of five at Alumni Arena.  The Bulls will host Kent State on Feb. 13 and Bowling Green on Feb. 17 before a quick trip to Miami (OH) on Feb. 20.  UB will then host back-to-back games against Ohio (2/24) and Akon (2/27) before wrapping up the regular season at Bowling Green on March 2.

There are five wildcard national TV selections in February that will be announced 21 days prior to the game.  Those dates will be announced in mid-October.

The season will get underway for the Bulls on Nov. 3 when they host Daemen in an exhibition contest.  Buffalo will open the regular season on Nov. 11 when they it hosts Canisius at 1:00 pm.

Season ticket renewals were mailed out last week for the upcoming season and fans have until Sep. 25 to renew their season tickets.  Fans wishing to purchase season tickets for the first time can do so by calling the UB Ticket Office at 1-877-UB-THERE.
