BUFFALO, NY – The Mid-American Conference and CBS Sports Network announced on Thursday afternoon that the UB men's basketball game at Miami will air nationally on their network. The game has been moved to Friday, March 1, and it will tip at 8:00 pm.
CBS Sports Network has two wild card slots on March 1. In addition to the UB-Miami getting picked up, the network will also air Kent State and Bowling Green at 6pm.
This is the second time this season that CBS Sports Network will air a Buffalo-Miami meeting, as the contest at Alumni Arena on Jan. 12 was also on their network. In all, this is the sixth UB game this season that will air on CBSSN and overall, it will be the 12th game this year to air on national television.
Of the nine MAC national television windows announced to date this year, Buffalo has been selected in eight of those spots. UB defeated Miami (OH) in the first meeting, 88-64. The RedHawks are currently 12-11 on the year and 4-6 in league play. Miami did hand Bowling Green its only conference loss of the year so far and last season, the RedHawks were one of three teams to beat UB in its home building.
The Bulls return to action on Saturday afternoon when they host Central Michigan at 3:30 pm. It will be the second game in a double header with the Buffalo women's team, which tips off at 1pm.
