BUFFALO, NY – Tony Miller, a member of the University at Buffalo men's tennis program, was named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference team on Monday, the league announced. A senior communication major, Miller has a 3.246 grade point average.
A standout doubles player for the Bulls, Miller teamed with Ethan Nittollo to go 12-6 on the season. The duo posted the most doubles wins on the team. Miller also won his only singles match on the year.
Miller helped Buffalo to one of its finest seasons in school history. The Bulls went 14-5 on the year, including a perfect 7-0 in the MAC regular season. The Bulls picked up two more wins in the conference tournament to claim the MAC crown. Buffalo advanced to the NCAA Tournament and hung with 13th-ranked Texas A&M before falling to the Aggies in the first round.
Academic All-MAC nominees must have a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average to be eligible for the team. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
