Bulls Fall To North Florida On Sunday, 9-0

CLEARWATER, FL – The University at Buffalo softball team (8-14, 0-0 MAC) wrapped up their weekend at the Clearwater Spring Break Classic hosted by South Florida with a 9-0 loss to North Florida.

After the Bulls spoiled a Jessica Goldyn single in the top of the first inning, North Florida was able to get on the board first in the bottom of the inning as they earned a walk and backed that up with a RBI triple to take the 1-0 lead through one inning.

After UB went scoreless in the second inning, North Florida added a pair of runs as they stringed three hits together to take the 3-0 lead.

The Buffalo offense couldn't string together any hits over the next two innings while North Florida added two more runs in the fourth inning and four in the bottom of the fifth to end the game, earning the 9-0 victory.

The UB offense struggled on Sunday as they notched just four hits. Goldyn led the way going 2-for-3 while Danielle Lallos and Leandra Jew each notched a hit in the loss.

The Bulls will return to the diamond on Tuesday evening as they will head down to Fort Myers to take on Florida Gulf Coast in a doubleheader. Game one will begin at 5:00 pm.
