Holly Luciano begins her third season with Buffalo after she was promoted to assistant coach in 2015 after joining the UB coaching staff as a volunteer assistant. She joins the coaching ranks following a distinguised four-year career for the Bulls that culminated in last season's MAC East Division Title.
Luciano has been instrumental in working with the UB offense and the outfielders. She helped coach Savanna Norcio and freshman Katie Weimer to huge offensive seasons in 2016.
A native of Toms River, NJ, Luciano holds the UB career record for runs scored with 95 and she is tied for second all-time with seven triples. Her RBI total ranks fifth in school history and she is also second all-time in stolen bases with 50. Last season, Luciano had her best season as she was named to the All-MAC First Team and was also named to the All-District Third Team by the NFCA.
Last season, Luciano led the Bulls offensively with a .340 batting average, an increase of over 150 points in her average from her junior season. Luciano was second on the team in runs batted in with 34 as she hit eight doubles, four triples and four home runs. She led the Bulls with 53 hits and was second on the team with 33 runs scored.
