BUFFALO, NY – For the third time in her career, Brittney Kuras will represent the University at Buffalo at the NCAA National Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Minneapolis, MN, March 20-22. Kuras has been selected to compete in the 100 freestyle.
Fresh off earning MAC Most Outstanding Swimmer honors for the third time, Kuras looks to cap her stellar career. This is the third straight year the Canandaigua, NY native will compete in 100 freestyle at the NCAA Championships. She finished 32nd in the event as a sophomore and improved to a 19th place finish last year.
Kuras is coming off her best ever time in the 100 free as she broke her own school record with a time of 48.50 to be crowned the MAC champion last weekend.
In addition, Jessica Powers has been selected as an alternate to compete in the 1,650 freestyle. With a time of 16:21.10, the junior broke the school record en route to winning the event at the MAC Championships.
Competition is slated for March 20-22 at the University of Minnesota Aquatics Center in Minneapolis.
