BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's swimming and diving team placed 10 student-athletes on the Academic All-MAC team, as announced by the Mid-American Conference on Friday afternoon. A total of 129 student-athletes from around the conference were named to this year's team.
A total of 10 student-athletes from UB are represented on the Academic All-MAC squad, with two Bulls, Brittney Beetcher and Nicole Roitenberg, finishing their fall 2018 term with perfect 4.00 averages. Beetcher, a business management student, was previously tabbed with First-Team All-MAC honors after her performance at the MAC Championships earlier this season.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
