BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo, State University of New York cross country and track & field director and head coach Vicki Mitchell announced the signing of three student-athletes to National Letters of Intent Tuesday.
UB inked three New Yorkers in Dan Muldoon, Hasani Rathan and Alex Siracusa to the men's team.
"We are excited to have Dan joining our middle distance/cross country squad. He is going to continue the tradition of middle and distance excellence at UB," praised Mitchell. "Dan's resume includes being a Nike Team National Cross Country finalist, a top-10 finisher at the NYS Federation Cross Country Championship and a state finalist in the indoor 600-meter run."
Muldoon is out of Liverpool High School in Liverpool.
"Hasani is the reigning New York State champion in the high jump, with a personal best mark of 6'10". He is an explosive jumper and is certainly going to be a force within the MAC and the NCAA," said Mitchell.
Rathan attends William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach.
"Alex has had a break-out year in the long jump, hitting a new personal-best mark of 23'0.25". He is going to bring depth to the horizontal jumps group and will continue to reach new levels of success." Mitchell stated. "We are excited to have Alex joining the UB family!"
Siracusa is out of Churchville-Chili High School in Rochester.
