CLEVELAND, OH – University at Buffalo track and field junior, Devon Patterson, was named Mid-American Conference Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. This honor comes after an outstanding performance at the Jesse Owens Invitational this past weekend.
Patterson placed fourth overall in the Men's Championship Shot Put with a new personal best distance of 18.28m/59' 11.75". His distance currently ranks first in the Mid-American Conference and 19th in the NCAA East. This distance also ranks him first in the NCAA Northeast Region.
This is the second MAC honor of the outdoor track and field season, as Tyler Scheving was honored in late March.
