BOWLING GREEN, OH – Selina Von Jackowski's smashing the school record in the 60m high hurdles highlighted Saturday action at the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships at hosted by Bowling Green. Von Jackowski took the silver medal in the 60m high hurdles with a time of 8.40 – breaking the previous record of 8.44 set by Brooklyn Ventura in 2013.
In the women's triple jump, Crystal Henderson had her best competition of the season, jumping 12.08m//39'7.5" to finish fourth.
Martine Bye came back from a very busy day one pentathlon to tie for sixth place in the open high jump with a mark of 5-05.75.
Freshman Brandon Burke started off the day with a season's best and a fourth place finish in the men's high jump with his jump of 2.06/6'9". He was top freshman in the competition.
On the track, Leon Atkins showed the MAC that Buffalo is going to continue to be strong in the men's middle distance events with his second place finish overall.
In the men's 3,000m, Dan Muldoon ran a great race, with a personal best time of 8:29.80, placing fifth overall.
Caleb Covell, who is coming back from a fall season injury, placed seventh, narrowly missing a scoring position. Zac Jones finished his first MAC pentathlon by winning the 1,000m event and placing seventh, scoring 4,632 points.
Following the meet, Von Jackowski was named to the women's All-MAC Second Team and Leon Atkins, Chimaobi Ezeilo, Patrick Hazlitt, Jack Jibb and Daniel Muldoon were named to the men's All-MAC Second Team.
