BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo track and field team continued their indoor season, competing in the EMU CAN-AM hosted by Eastern Michigan on Saturday in Ypsilanti, Mich. at the Bowen Field House. The Bulls were able to collect two individual victories on the afternoon as Jess Dhaliwall collected a victory in the weight throws event and Sydney March won in the women's 600m.

Senior Jess Dhaliwall continued her strong start to the indoor campaign as she was victorious in the women's weight throw event for the Bulls. Dhaliwall had a season-best toss of 19.97m, edging out the second placed thrower from Bowling Green by .22m. The toss is also currently good for the longest in the MAC this season.

In the women's 600m event, it was junior distance runner Sydney March who would collect the first place finish for Buffalo, crossing the finish line with a season-best time of 1:38.92. Finishing third in the event was Elise MacDonald, clocking in a time of 1:40.89 for the Bulls.

Senior Crystal Henderson continued her success in hurdle events, setting a personal record in the 60HH event with a time of 8.80 seconds. Henderson also competed in the triple jump event, collecting a third place finish with a leap of 11.93m, a season-best mark for Henderson.

Another notable finish from the Buffalo women came in the 3000m run event, as senior distance runner Charlotte Molloy crossed the finishing line with a time of 10:19.27, collecting a second place finish.

On the men's side, junior Sam Wray impressed for the Bulls, throwing a personal-best 18.65m in the men's weight throw, good for third place in the event and just .72m off of the winning distance.

Sophomore Brandon Burke had a good showing for the bulls as well, as the high jumper leaped his way to a second placed finish with a height of 1.98m, only .04m behind the winning jump from Eastern Michigan.

Next up for the Bulls, the team will head to Akron, OH, to compete in the Akron Invite hosted by MAC rival Akron University on February 1st-2nd.
