BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo junior shooting guard Cierra Dillard was tabbed as the Mid-American Conference east division Player of the Week for the second time this season, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Dillard had a huge week for the Bulls last week as she helped guide the Buffalo to impressive wins over Miami (OH) and Ball State while leading the team in scoring in both games. The Rochester native finished off her strong week averaging 19.5 points, 6.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals while playing an average of 35.0 minutes per game. The junior has now led UB in scoring a team-high nine times this season.

In Wednesday's home win over the RedHawks, Dillard had a big second half to lift the Bulls to the win as she netted 19 points, eight assists, six rebounds and three steals while connecting on three triples to keep UB unbeaten at home this season.

Dillard once again paced the Bulls in scoring on Saturday as she was able to finish off her third game scoring at least 20 points, finishing with 20 points, five assists, four steals and three rebounds while going 4-for-8 from behind the arc in the 84-80 victory at Ball State. With her 16th point on Saturday, Dillard joined the 1,000 point club as she drained a jumper and was fouled on the shot.

On the year, Dillard is averaging a team-best 13.8 points, 4.7 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 3.1 steals while draining a team-best 36 three pointers. Her 3.1 steals/game currently lead the MAC and rank 16th in the NCAA
