BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's basketball team will play its fourth straight game away from Alumni Arena when the Bulls travel to Central Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon. Tip off is slated for 1 pm.
The Bulls are coming off a successful trip to Las Vegas where they defeated both Georgetown and South Dakota State at the South Point Shootout to improve to 4-1 on the season. Cierra Dillard, winner of the last two MAC East Division Player of the Week awards, has had a tremendous start to the season. The senior guard leads the nation in scoring, averaging 26.6 points per game. She is also averaging 5.8 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 3.6 steals per game, while shooting nearly 43 percent from beyond the arc.
Central Connecticut State is 1-4 on the season. The Blue Devils are coming off a 60-36 win over Morgan State on Monday night. CCSU is led by Kianna Patterson who is averaging 15.2 points per game.
The Bulls lead the all-time series, 12-1. However, this is the first time the teams will meet since February 21, 1997 – a game Buffalo won, 70-56.
