Bulls Ranked 13th in NWCA Mid-Major Poll

BUFFALO, NY – The National Wrestling Coaches Association released its first Mid-Major Top 20 of the season on Thursday and Buffalo is ranked 13th. Formulated in 2017, the Mid-Major Top 20 concentrates on the programs that fall outside of the traditional "Power 5" conferences.

The Bulls are 9-4 in duals on the season and are the second highest ranked MAC team in the poll. Only Old Dominion, whom the Bulls defeated, 19-12, on January 20 are ranked higher at eighth. Please note, fellow MAC member Missouri is not considered a mid-major program.

The Bulls have two wrestlers in the national rankings. Bryan Lantry is ranked eighth at 141 lbs. and Jake Gunning is ranked 10th at heavyweight.

Buffalo is off this week and will next host Central Michigan on February 8th at Alumni Arena.
