BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's swimming & diving team will return to the Alumni Arena Natatorium on Saturday morning for their first home meet of the season as they welcome MAC foe Toledo. First event is set to begin at 11:00 am on Saturday.
The Bulls are coming off of a strong performance last weekend at Cornell as they were able to claim the 165-131 victory over the Big Red. Individually, the Bulls saw five different swimmers collect victories as Eve Kosten, Jillian Lawton, Grace Baumer, Hannah Miller and Victoria Butler each won their respective races.
The Bulls relay squads had a dominant day on the water as senior Megan Burns was a part of all four victorious relay squads. The 400 medley relay team of Nicole Roitenberg, Baumer, Olivia Sapio and Burns earned the win in a season-best 3:50.61. The Bulls also collected win in the 200 medley relay, the 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay on Saturday at Cornell.
In the diving well, the Bulls will be looking for senior Kelly Moran and sophomore Olivia Gosselin to improve on their performances at Cornell which saw Moran earn victory in the 3-meter dive while Gosselin won the 1-meter dive.
The Bulls will return to the pool next weekend as they travel to Athens, OH to take on the Ohio Bobcats in another MAC meet. The meet will begin at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 4.
