The Bulls then dominated doubles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Abibula got the first win at four with a 6-1, 6-3 victory and then freshman Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou won at two, 6-2, 6-4. The Bulls clinched the match at six as senior Sanjana Sudhir won, 6-4, 6-1.
Shih then picked up a win at five, 6-1, 6-3 and fellow freshman Pia Schwarz won at three, 7-6, 6-4. Senior Chantal Martinez Blanco capped off the afternoon with a 6-4, 7-5 win at first singles.
"This was a nice way to rebound after a tough loss yesterday," said head coach Kristen Maines. "We still need to work on our doubles, but I was very pleased with how responded in singles today."
The Bulls will return home next Saturday when they host Mercyhurst at 12:30 pm at the Miller Tennis Center, the first of two home matches next weekend for UB.
