Bulls Best Oakland, 5-2

BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo women's tennis team won their fourth straight match on Saturday as the Bulls defeated Oakland, 5-2. UB improves to 10-3 with the win.

The Bulls took the doubles point with wins at first and third doubles.  The first victory came at three as Emel Abibula and Hsin-Yuan Shih won their match, 6-2.  After Oakland won at two, UB clinched the point as Chantal Martinez Blanco and Nikoleta Antoniou-Karademitrou won at first doubles, 6-2.

Buffalo won four of the six matches in singles with Oakland winning at one and four.  Antoniou-Karademitrou won at second singles, 6-3, 6-2, while fellow freshman Pia Schwarz was victorious at three, 6-2, 6-0.

Buffalo also picked up wins at five and six as Abibula scored a 7-6 (2), 6-4 victory and senior Sanjana Sudhir won at six, 6-3, 6-1.

Buffalo will next play Keiser on Thursday at 3:00 pm as part of their annual Spring Break trip.
