Bulls Fall To Robert Morris, 3-0

MOON TOWNSHIP, PA – The University at Buffalo volleyball team lost its first match at the Robert Morris/Duquesne Invitational on Friday, losing to Robert Morris 3-0.

The Colonials took the match 25-17, 25-16, 26-24 as they outhit the Bulls .167 to .062.

Valisha Watkins had a team-high six kills, while Megan Wernette added five kills and just one error.  Four other players had three kills, including freshman setter Scout McLerran, who added 22 assists.

Defensively, Hannah Watson had 15 digs in the three sets and Watkins added six.  Junior Cassie Shado finished with three blocks, including two solos.

UB will play two matches tomorrow at Duquesne, beginning at 11am against St. Francis (PA).  The Bulls will then face Duquesne at 7pm tomorrow.
