Bulls Fall At Ball State

MUNCIE, IN – The University at Buffalo volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Ball State on Saturday evening.  The loss drops the Bulls to 9-6 and evens their record to 2-2 in the MAC.

The Cardinals took the contest 25-17, 25-17, 25-19 as Ball State outhit Buffalo, .396 to .204.

Freshman Andrea Mitrovic led the Bulls with 10 kills, while junior Megan Wernette added eight kills and Polina Prokudina had seven.

Senior Cassie Shado, who played in her final regular season match in Indiana, added six kills and no errors on 15 swings as she hit a team-high .400.

Sophomore Scout McLerran finished with 28 assists and a team-high three service ace.  Defensively, Larra Bickelhaupt led Buffalo with 10 digs.  UB had three solo blocks from McLerran, Shado, and Wernette.

The Bulls will return to action on Thursday night at Miami (OH).  Match time is set for 7:00 pm.
