John Klanac has joined the UB volleyball staff as a volunteer assistant coach. A Western New York native, Klanac played his college volleyball at Ohio State where he won a National Championship in 2011.
Klanac was named a second-team All-American in 2011 and was named to the All-Tournament team at the Division I National Championships. He was a three-time MIVA Volleyball All-Conference selection as well as a three-time MIVA Volleyball All-Tournament team selection.
Following his collegiate career, Klanac played volleyball professionaly overseas, winning a Finnish Men's Champions League National Title in 2013.
Klanac played his high school volleyball at Orchard Park High School and he was also a member of the Eden Power Station Club.
