BUFFALO, NY – University at Buffalo Track and Field director and head coach Vicki Mitchell has announced the signing of Cal Pruskar to a National Letter of Intent to attend UB and compete for the Bulls in the fall of 2018.
BUFFALO, NY – Playing host to the NCAA Northeast Regional Cross Country Championships on Friday in a very cold and windy afternoon at the Audobon golf course, the University at Buffalo women’s cross country team took home 10th place while the UB men placed 14th in the field of 37 teams.

The event begins at 11:00 am with the women’s 6K championship race and concludes at 12:00 pm with the men’s 10K championship race.
OXFORD, OH – The University at Buffalo cross country teams concluded action in the 2017 MAC Championships on Saturday at Miami (OH) with the women collecting a fifth place finish and the men taking home sixth place. Sophomore Stephanie Ward was able to earn First Team All-MAC honors after collecting a third place finish in the women’s 6K race.

The Bulls earned 11th place out of 17 squads as they earned the highest finish by any MAC school in the field.

Ward collected her first weekly recognition of the season after a strong performance at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational on Friday.
BETHLEHEM, PA – The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s cross country teams traveled to Bethlehem, PA on Friday to compete in the 44th annual Lehigh Paul Short Invitational. The Bulls competed in the women’s gold race, the men’s brown race and open races on Friday.
In recognition of a leadership gift made by the Murchie family to the recently announced fieldhouse, the UB Council endorsed a resolution, on Monday, to name the new fieldhouse at the University at Buffalo, the Murchie Family Fieldhouse in honor of former UB hockey player Tunney Murchie and his family. The naming is subject to the approval of the SUNY Chancellor and the SUNY Board of Trustees.
The longtime dream of an on-campus fieldhouse at the University at Buffalo will soon be a reality. University at Buffalo Director of Athletics Allen Greene announced on Friday that the university has secured the services of Rochester-based LeChase Construction as the general contractor and New York-based architecture firm CHA for the project.

The Bulls placed ahead of Colgate in both races and behind Syracuse.

The NCAA released annual Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR) data on Thursday afternoon and nine UB programs had perfect single-year rates for 2015-16, while men’s tennis continues to lead the charge with a perfect four-year rate.
INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The National Collegiate Athletic Association announced Tuesday that the University at Buffalo has been selected to host the NCAA Cross Country Northeast Regionals for 2018 and 2019. The event will be held at Audubon Golf Course, just minutes from the North Campus.
BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo’s cross country team was honored by the United State Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for their work in the classroom. Both the men’s and women’s cross country teams were honored for their academics.
It was another solid semester in the classroom for University at Buffalo student-athletes as they posted a combine 3.029 grade point average. It marked the 10th straight semester UB student-athletes have surpassed the 3.0 combined mark.
CLEVELAND, OH – The Mid-American Conference announced its 2016 men’s and women’s cross country Academic All-MAC team. Buffalo placed six individuals on the team across both squads with three for the men and three for the women. Being a member of the Academic All-MAC team requires a student-athlete to have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and must participate in at least 50 percent of the contests in their sports.
BUFFALO, NY – The University at Buffalo men’s and women’s cross country team traveled to Bronx, NY to compete in the NCAA Northeast Regionals. The men and women raced against three nationally ranked, and 15 regionally ranked teams each. The two teams performed exceptionally and were able to finish second best in program history each.

In the most recent regional polls, the men have moved up two spots to 9th and the women have dropped one place to 13th.
