Dolac to Serve as Honorary Captain for Akron Game

BUFFALO, NY – Former University at Buffalo standout linebacker Shaun Dolac will serve as the honorary captain for Saturday's football game against Akron at UB Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 1 pm.
Dolac is one of the best linebackers to ever and play at UB and capped his stellar career by being named the program's first Consensus All-American in 2024. He led the nation in tackles with a school-record 168 and added 18.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks and five interceptions.
A two-time All-MAC First Team selection, Dolac was the 2024 Mid-American Conference Defensive Player of the Year. His 391 career tackles rank sixth in program history and he ranks fourth in solo tackles with 222.
The West Seneca, NY native was a three-time Academic All-MAC selection and was a finalist for the 2024 Burlsworth Trophy.
He was signed by the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent and not only made the 53-man roster but has played in all seven games this season and has racked up 17 tackles and a tackle for loss.
Dolac will accompany the Buffalo captains to midfield for the pregame coin toss.
