2015: Kemp made an impact for the Bulls in his junior season, competing in five of the seven races… He was the first Bull to make it across the finish line at the NCAA Regionals, completing the 10K in 31:27.50, and placing him in the Top-30… Kemp also helped pace the Bulls at the Lehigh Paul Short Invite, clocking in at 24:41, making him the third Bull to cross the finish line at that event… Kemp stayed fairly even with the other Bulls at the UB Stampede, where he finished the 8K at 25:21.70… Kemp was also a member of the Academic All-MAC Team... Most Valuable Player 2015... Distinguished Scholar Athlete.
2014: Kemp ended his sophomore season on a high note, as the first Bull to cross the finish line at the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship...he clocked a team-best 10,000-meter time of 31:26.03 to place 47th out of 262 runners on Nov. 14...the meet prior, he was UB''s runner-up with an 8K time of 25:03 at the MAC Championships...Kemp also raced second for the Bulls with a season-best 8K time of 24:51 on Oct. 4 at Lehigh''s Paul Short Invitational...named to the Fall Academic All-MAC team, Kemp was later selected a MAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete, one of 12 from UB during the fall season...Distinguished Scholar Athletes are voted on by faculty athletic representatives at MAC institutions representing the "best of the best" from each sports'' Academic All-MAC Teams.
2013: Kemp competed in four races for the Bulls as a rookie. He clocked a season-best eight-kilometer time of 25:39 at the Princeton Invitational on Oct. 19. Kemp raced to a 10K finish of 32:48 during the NCAA Northeast Region Championship to place 135th out of 255 and close out his freshman season.
High School: Won eight letters and captained two seasons at Oswayo Valley High School. Holds the school records in the 3,200 and 1,600-meter runs. Two-time District IX individual champion. Led team to two straight District IX team championships. Placed 6th place at Pennsylvania States individually.
Personal: Born August 6, 1994. Son of Bruce and Brenda Kemp. Has one sister, Bailey, who also attends UB. Other hobbies include listening to music and playing video games. Favorite music groups include the Killers and Modest Mouse. Majoring in biological sciences.
