EVANSTON, IL - Tyler Rill, the University at Buffalo's 165-pounder, advanced to the seventh round final before bowing out at the 53rd annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships on Wednesday at Northwestern's Welsh-Ryan Arena.
Rill advanced past #6 Clark Glass of Oklahoma due to a medical forfeit in the sixth round of the consolation bracket. However, Rill fell to Rider's Connor Brennan in the seventh round of the consolation bracket.
Rill had a rematch with Patrick Rhoads of Iowa in the battle for seventh place. Rhoads won by a fall late in the match to earn seventh place.
