OLEAN, NY – The University at Buffalo, The State University of New York women's soccer team was defeated on the road on Tuesday night by Big 4 foe St. Bonaventure, 2-0. The Bulls outshot the Bonnies 17-12 but couldn't find the back of the net, getting shutout for the first time since October 10, 2014 against Northern Illinois.

- The Short Story: The Bulls held the 17-12 advantage in shots for the contest but they couldn't find the back of the net as the Bonnies scored once in the first half and once in the second half to put UB away. The loss brings the Bulls record to 2-2 on the year.

How It Happened
- The Bulls jumped out to a quick start on Tuesday night as they recorded five shots in the first 18 minutes of the half but the Boonies were able to strike with the lone goal of the half in the 24th minute. Abby Maiello took a cross from the right wing and buried the ball in the back of the net off the header.
- The Bulls closed out the half with some pressure on the Bonnies but couldn't come away with a goal.
- After a shot by Moira Petrie was turned away, St. Bonaventure came down the field and notched their second goal of the game, putting the game out of reach. Lauren Hill found the back of the net after a feed from Abby Maiello.
- In the 63rd minute, Andrea Niper saw her header shot glance off the cross bar and out of play.
- Kassidy Kidd had a pair of chances to get the Bulls on the board in the later stages of the contest but her shot in the 81st minute hit the goal post and her shot in the 83rd minute just sailed high over the cross bar.
Inside The Numbers
- The Bulls were shutout for the first time since October 10, 2014 against Northern Illinois when they tied the Huskies 0-0.
- The Bulls held the 17-12 edge in shots and the 9-4 advantage in corner kicks but they were not able to notch a goal.
- Sophomore Laura Dougall made a season-high seven saves in the loss for the Bulls.
- Carissima Cutrona led all players with five shots including two shots on goal. The five shots was a season-high for the redshirt freshman.
- Kassidy Kidd finished with a season-high four shots in the loss.

- Head coach Shawn Burke: "When you are not ready to compete and take care of the details, you can't win at this level," stated Burke. "St. Bonaventure was organized and disciplined and there's a result the result went the way it did. We can't be a sometimes team, we need to learn how to play uncomfortable."
