Junior (2016): Limited to seven games due to an injury… earned the start at Northern Illinois (10/22)… had seven catches for 121 yards and a touchdown on the year… had two receptions for 24 yards at Ohio (11/3)… had a season-best four catches for 92 yards and a touchdown at Bowling Green (11/25).
Sophomore (2015): Appeared in all 12 games and started two… had 15 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown on the season… returned a punt for 86 yards and a touchdown against Albany (9/5)… also had a season-high four catches for 35 yards and a touchdown against the Great Danes… had two catches for 15 yards against Bowling Green (10/3)… had two catches for 31 yards at Miami (OH) (10/29)... had three receptions for 17 yards at Akron (11/21)… had two catches for 27 yards against Massachusetts (11/27).
Redshirt-Freshman (2014): Appeared in all 11 games and started five on the season… ranked third on the team with 28 receptions for 280 yards… had three receiving touchdowns… had a reception in every game on the season… had his best game of the season against Miami (OH) (9/27) when he had eight catches for 94 yards and his first career touchdown… had three receptions for 35 yards at Eastern Michigan (10/11)… had three catches for 22 yards against Central Michigan (10/25)… had three receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown against Akron (11/11)… had three catches for 34 yards and a touchdown at Massachusetts (11/28).
Freshman (2013): Redshirted in his first season at Buffalo.
High School: Martinez played quarterback for Bozeman High School. He generated 1,007 yards rushing with 19 touchdowns and 1,181 yards passing with 12 touchdowns this past season. As a junior, he rushed for 1,400 yards and passed for 800 yards. Earned All-District, All-County and District Player of the Year. He was the best leader his coach has ever seen.
