2011-12: Earned the starting job immediately and showed great potential, finishing the season 12-23, 5-14 in duals... led the team with 29 escapes, sixth most in a single season in program history... finished sixth at the UB Open (11/6)... beat Matt Parlier of Lock Haven 5-2 at the Wrestle for a Cure Duals (11/12)... earned wins over Gardner-Webb and Niagara County CC at the UB Quad Meet (12/18)... went 3-2 to finish fifth at the New York State Championships (1/23)... came back from an early deficit to beat Ohio’s Kyle Snyder 6-2 in a conference dual meet (1/29)... ended the season with a thrilling 3-1 sudden victory over SIU-Edwardsville’s Cole Brandt (2/19).
High School: Was a two-time Michigan state champion and also was a runner up, earning a spot in the finals three times in his four years while finishing with a 192-27 career record... at the Disney Duals in 2010, he went undefeated for a gold medal win... earned All-American status after finishing eighth at the NHSCA Senior Nationals... went 63-0 as a senior for the Dundee Vikings... was named the Monroe County Region Co-Wrestler of the Year... also ran track and was a decorated football player... playing linebacker for Dundee, he has the school record for tackles in a game (27) and in a season, with 161 in just 10 games... also wrestled for the Michigan Freeze club team for two years.
Personal: Born December 10, 1992... son of Jeff and Debbie... has three brothers - Nick, Ryan and Gabriel... will major in physical therapy... chose Buffalo over Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Minnesota and Old Dominion... picked Buffalo because of the coaching staff and the great medical school... hunting is his favorite past time... worked for the 4-H club and volunteered at his local nursing home... dream vacation destination is Africa... greatest athletic achievement is winning two state titles and placing at nationals.
