Hoof Prints: Has been the Bulls starting punter since his true freshman season and is expected to be the starter in 2015... named to the Ray Guy Watch List... a two-time Academic All-MAC selection... major is business administration... his cousin, Corbin, is the long snapper.
Junior (2014): Named to the Capital One Academic All-District and Academic All-MAC teams as well as was named a MAC DIstinguished Scholar Athlete… averaged a career-best 40.7 yards per punt on the season… of his 50 punts, opponents gained only 32 total return yards (including one 26-yard return)… had 16 punts downed inside the 20… had six punts of 50 yards or more, including a season-long 64-yard effort against Baylor (9/12).
Sophomore (2013): Improved all season long as the team’s punter, recording 71 punts for the season… averaged 40 yards per punt to go along with 26 punts inside the 20-yard line… recorded seven punts of 50 plus yards… also served as the team’s kickoff specialist, recording 61 kickoffs… finished the regular season with 10 touchbacks and a 54.9 yard average… named MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week for the week of December 4... Academic All-MAC selection.
Freshman (2012): Continued to develop as the team’s punter, recording 80 punts for the season... averaged 35.4 yards per kick, with a 32.8 net average... made four punts of 50 or more yards, including a season high of 58 at Northern Illinois (10/13)... pinned 19 kicks inside the opponent’s 20 yard line and had only three touchbacks... forced 28 fair catches.
High School: Tremendous all-around athlete who played quarterback, safety, wide receiver, punter and kicker his senior season for coach John Snoad ... was named Ohio Capital Conference Player of the Year and first team All District ... ESPN ranks him the 33rd best kicking prospect in the country ... set school passing records as well as kicking records (72-yard punt and field goals made in a career with 32) ... member of his high school DECA business marketing program, which was ranked first in the country ... son of Jim and Beth Grassman.
