2018 β 2019: competed at the MAC indoor Championships pentathlon placing 15th.Β Placed 14th at the MAC Outdoor Hepathlon Championships.Β
2019 β 2020: Set personal best in the Pentathlon of 3271, 17β10.75β/Long jump, and 5β3.25β/High Jump. Placed 13th at the MAC indoor pentathlon championships.
2020 β 2021: Placed 4th at the MAC indoor Penthatlon Championships in a PR of 3446, #10 UB All-Time.Β Represented Team USA at the 2022 Summer Macchabiah Games.
2022 - 2023: Ranks 10th All-Time for UB in Heptathlon with a score of 4483 earned at the Bison Outdoor Classic.

Parents Nancy O'Brien, James Shapiro; two siblings Mikaela (24) and Jake (19).Β I chose to come to UB because the team felt like a family. The University offered me the opportunity to pursue my degree and also compete at the Division 1
Sheβs inspired by family and teammates.Β Favorite athlete is Vashti Cunningham because of her success at a young age, and her ambition and drive to be a better athlete.Β Pastimes include shopping and traveling. Β Favorite TV show is the Bachelor/Bachelorette.Β And, Kelsey canβt live without Mac & Cheese.
A random Fun Fact: Was a competitive dancer on the national team for her dance studio for 15 years.Β Why Kelsey chose UB: Why UB?Β The team felt like a family. The University offered me the opportunity to pursue my degree and also compete at the Division 1 level.
